Chelsea Garwood, DVM

Dr. Chelsea Garwood grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and had known from an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Shadowing a companion animal vet through elementary school was later followed by working for several zoos and aquariums. During her undergraduate years at The North Carolina State University and The Ohio State University, she focused primarily on equine medicine and research. At the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, she returned her focus to zoological, aquatic, and exotic companion species. She then pursued two internships- one with zoo and aquatic animals and one with companion animals- in Ohio.

For the past 4 years, she has been working in general practice across Tennessee and Georgia. Needless to say, Dr. Garwood has a great appreciation for all species.
