Richard Heise

Dr. Richard Heise has been caring for pets and the people who love them for nearly two decades. He believes that the best veterinary care comes from combining high-quality medicine with genuine compassion, clear communication, and taking the time to truly listen to each family. His goal is for every client to feel informed, supported, and confident in the care their pet receives.

Dr. Heise enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, with special interests in surgery, internal medicine, and preventive care. He is passionate about continually learning and applying the latest evidence-based medicine to help patients live healthier, happier lives. Whether he’s performing surgery, working through a complex medical case, or helping a new puppy get off to a great start, he considers it a privilege to be part of each pet’s journey.

When he’s not at the hospital, Dr. Heise enjoys making the most of the outdoors with his wife. You’ll often find them spending time on their pontoon boat, fishing, or planning their next travel adventure together. He also enjoys playing guitar, staying active, and finding new ways to challenge himself both personally and professionally.
